Joey is the owner/founder of Superior Cheer & Tumbling. Joey’s love and passion for the sport of cheerleading started at a young age watching his two older sisters cheer. He cheered all-stars for Basics Superstars from 2003-2007. While cheering for Basics, he won multiple regional and national championships. Joey started his coaching/choreography career at his alumni Toronto High School and still continues his winning success with the program to this day. Joey choreographs in Ohio and West Virginia where he has helped high schools win state titles.

Joey cheered for Pittsburgh Superstars Open Black from 2010-2012 and placed as high as 7 th place at the Cheerleading Worlds. Joey graduated college from Eastern Gateway Community College in 2010 with an Associate’s Degree in Small Applied Business. Joey currently resides in Wintersville, OH with his husband Andrew, and their three dogs Bella, Hunter, and Ozzy. Outside of the gym, Joey enjoys lake weekends, beach vacations, and family gatherings.
